'The Dark Knight Rises' 10 Years Later: Tom Hardy's Bane Voice Still Rings Out

In 2012, The Dark Knight Rises attempted to live up to one of the greatest sequels ever made and the greatest action film of the 2000s — The Dark Knight. To do it, director Christopher Nolan needed a villain who could one-up the Joker. So he picked Bane, the hulking beast who breaks Batman's back in the comics. Tom Hardy was cast in the role and he brought with him a unique choice of speech.
