| Dear Hollywood,If remake culture is here to stay, there needs to be some unwritten rules. Otherwise, we're going to ruin characters like the Joker. You may hear "get off my lawn," but this is really a rallying cry to protect the characters you purport to respect. Once it's been done. and done well, can we just leave well enough alone? Let's say, for 10 years. Seems reasonable, no? We would still have Joaquin Phoenix's Joker. We just wouldn't have Jared Leto's. That wouldn't be so bad, right?
